CUSTODY
Rebirth is not conceived simply as an object to be acquired, but as a work entering into custody.
Its first custodian receives the physical work together with its unique digital counterpart and access to a private reception protocol conceived as part of the artwork itself.
This encounter is not publicly reproduced. It belongs exclusively to the person receiving the work and marks the beginning of a new stage in its trajectory.
As Rebirth moves through time, its material existence remains unique while its history may continue to accumulate traces of its passage, transformations, exhibitions and successive custodianships.
